R3D File Recovery

Quick Start Guide

Using the R3D Data Manager R3D File Recovery

Recovering lost R3D files can be easily done, using these steps:

Select The Source

When you first open the window the program will detect all disks currently attached to your system, including unmounted disks. Select the disk you would like to recover the files from.

Select The Destination

Select the destination you wish to copy the recovered files to. You must select a file system not on the same disk as the source, and it must have enough free space to copy the entire source onto it.

Options

Ensure the options are set correctly. Usually you will want to leave both options "Organize R3D files" and "Create reference movies" enabled.

Start the processing

Click the "Start processing" button, and the recovery will start. During the recovery it will update the table with new R3D files it finds, and give you info about each file. Once done searching for files, it will organize them and create reference movies as needed
