Red Media Formatting

Quick Start Guide

R3D Data Manager will only allow you to format Red Media, ensuring that you dont format over copies of your data. In addition, it will alert you if the program has not successfully copied the data since it was last reset, ensuring that you only format data you intend to format. The program will show you a list of available Red Media attached to your system, and you can choose which one to format.

Set the camera letter and roll/drive number that you want to format the media as.

Once you have selected the media and options, click on the "Re-format Red Media" button. The program will confirm that you want to reformat the red media, to which you must hit OK. After that, it will begin the process of formatting the media. On completion, the status will change to "Complete".
